A rare moment of 'politics'

Generally I avoid mentioning anything political on here, some years ago amid the appalling electoral situation in Spain I became increasingly angry at the sheer selfishness and ignorance on display during the power grab. The current prime minister in Spain, as so many of his equivalents in Latin America, is clearly not going to leave power easily, whether or not he is voted in or not, not even when most of the country was calling for his resignation during recent financial and sexual scandals amongst his closest allies. How is Spain ever to get rid of him when the separatist parties and brain-washed separatist citizens look only at their regional preferences rather than at the national good? Spain is not Germany where the regional cultures and dialects are maintained and celebrated but where not a single region is so stupid as to insist on the type of damaging regionalism that is currently sapping Spain of its vitality. They really should just be allowed to leave and let them languish in their smallness while they re-negotiate their entrance into the EU. The opposing party will clearly need an overwhelming majority to avoid having negotiate a coalition. Will that ever happen given the fracture spanish reality? Probably not. So now everyone in Spain, even those politically ignorant, brain-washed separatists, have to face the reality that the man they let stay in power, even when he did not win the popular vote, is about to legalise a huge amount of pakistanis, who never adapt to the local culture but force the local culture to adapt to them, along with the much more acceptable latinos. If only that half-million were latinos and eastern europeans it would be less of a problem but it's not. The BBC yesterday clarified that the largest group of immigrants that abuse the legal visa system to then request asylum were from Pakistan. A few weeks ago news in Australia interviewed a man who had spoken to Pakistani students who hated Australian culture  but were going to stay and bring over all their families because of the financial benefits. Also weeks ago my housemate told me of a conversation she had had with a Pakistani at an airport trying to find a way to get to Spain so as to leech off the asylum system until he could permanently stay as he was desperate to avoid returning to Pakistan. Why? No clear response. Was he going to adopt western values? Hell no, they have no morality or culture. What is going on in Pakistan, what is going on in islam, that so many Pakistani men are now desperate to abandon their home-country and never return? Last I checked their wasn't a war going on in Pakistan; they like their culture so it's not in pursuit of freedom, the region itself has been doing ok in terms of economic growth, or at least India has, so why come over like this. It's like the question no one asks: why so many fleeing war from one or other middle-eastern country make the huge effort to make it to Europe when they could go to near-by countries that are doing better, say Saudi Arabia or Oman, who are culturally and religiously similar? No, they risk life and limb to come to Europe whose culture they hate and once here begin to protests that the culture is different and demand that it change to their preferences.

Why are the liberal left, liberal-radical feminists, and all those similar to them bowing to these men who so clearly will get rid of them the moment the dominate a region? Are they willingly blind, plain stupid, or is there some ideological push in the background? I have heard more than one German catholic say that the liberals in the west are silent about radical islam because they want to destroy christianity and naively believe that they will convince muslims through financial benefit to abandon their values. How can they be do ignorant? Very few muslims will exchange their religion and culture for finanacial gain, no matter how materialistic their religion is. Well in fact, precisely because financial gain, usury, is perfectly fine for them, then why would they abandon their values for financial gain, they don't need to. While I don't think they are operating only on naivete or ignorance I do think they are arrogant enough to think they understand all religions, be it islam, buddhism or christianity, and to think that all people will fall to their empty, materialistic approach to life. Recent rise in numbers of conversions to Catholicism at least in England points to people having a deeper desire for more than the materialistic liberal left is offering. Recent arguments between LGB and LGBTQ+ females has also clearly highlighted the gulf between reality attached activists versus those that think all of reality can be molded into their preferences no matter what.

So now the question that many have asked some weeks ago, when the Ayatollah's were ordering the assassination of all those protesters, their own compatriots who were demonstrating for freedom and a more open society, did the pro-palestinians take to the streets and protests against the iranian regime? Did the liberal leftist media report it? Did the radical feminists and LGBTQ+ activists speak against this clear example of state repression? NO. Crickets. That is until people went to protest in front of the BBC, then they begrudgingly reported on it and so did other news outlets? I have to say I usually find the BBC fairly balanced but in this case they seem incapable of speaking. So if it's Israel defending themselves after an attack on them it's genocide but if it's muslim leaders in what is publicly known as a repressive government it has no name, does not draw from anyone calls for the respect of international law, or call out street demonstrations? What is at the root of this double standard and hypocrisy? Recently some former foreign aid to Trump was interviewed on the BBC, and while the interviewer was not as aggressive as she had been with the Israeli president (that was an exercise of two people arguing with each other and not at all listening to the responses), it was clear that there was an agenda, one which did not acknowledge with a single word the reality pointed out by said aid who reminded listeners that the fact that the iranian regime had assassinated so many of it's own citizens was proof that they would not hesitate to assassinate (ie bomb) foreign countries. So, now the media may report something but if it doesn't fit the accepted discourse, which in Europe is the liberal, radical, materialistic left, they will not comment on it or will try to downplay it or will try to deny it's evil by appealing to such things as international law. Now international law forbids countries from assassinating their own citizens as much as it doesn't allow other countries to intervene in other countries. Why is it since Trump starting bombing Iran international law has become a key question during interviews in the news but no one makes reference to international law when the assassinated citizens of Iran are mentioned? Whatever you may think of Trump and his actions you cannot be blind to the hypocrisy and double-standard visible in this omission.

Talking of omissions or lack of commentary by the news or activists when faced with things that go against the discourse or political inclinations stood out for me the other day when I saw one reporter, one in total, to speak of the Clinton's relations with Epstein, whatever they may be. I think all of the perpetrators, whoever they are, should be prosecuted. What annoyed me was that after all commentators have clearly come out with their opinions when it came to Clinton not only has their been no commentaries even fewer reporters have pointed out what contact their was nor what this information implies. The reporter literally just gave a list of what contact their had been, amongst them two transcontinental flights, easily 8 hours or more long, and being invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding, and said nothing more. He basically read the list and said nothing more. Someone else said that their contact and interactions had been superficial and only some conversations. MMMMM if you spend 8 hours on a flight with someone in a private plane really will you barely talk? If you are invited to someone's wedding are you really just a superficial acquaintance? But no one says anything because it's the Clintons. Just like when Bernie Sanders won the primaries but this fact was buried and Hilary was the nominated candidate the reality behind this political couple is being willfully ignored and whitewashed by the media. This should concern everyone and highlight for everyone the biases that dominant public discourse in the west today.
